What I think

 the government is forcing the building of housing that caters to the poor, seniors and persons of color. Discriminatory much? And don't we already have laws that forbid discrimination against anyone searching for housing? So, I am confused as to why new mandates are needed. 

 oh no! tariffs! Prices going up! Again, people going nuts about something that has not happened yet. Guess they have forgotten how high prices have gone up in the last 4 years. But those were ok I guess no ones fault. But tariffs, now someone is going to pay for those. Most countries charge tariffs, Maybe they could be a good thing. Close the border force business to produce products in this,

 when the whole family was together and there was lots of food and fun. Now not even the immediate family is together and those here to no appreciate holidays in the same way as I once did.

 I am very confused about all the people going nuts over the presidential election.  They thought the winner would ruin democracy while not seeming to realize that it was democracy, one vote one person legally allowed to vote, that got him elected. They don't seem to consider that their candidate was really bad and should not have been forced into the position. And, apparently, they seem to think free speech only applies to them and not to the other side. Not sure when a portion of this country got so whining and weak.  And if you are a teacher or public official spotting the hate that I have been hearing you need to find your sorry butts  unemployed.

 and the media is reporting that states are getting ready for violence, windows are being boarded up, governors are putting the national guard  on a alert. It's almost like they want something to happen. Hopefully, Americans have figured the media and the government out by now and nothing happens.

 just announced the winner of next weeks presidential election. They gave numbers and percentages. They said it was a mistake. Probably a mistake that they got caught. Won't it be interesting if the numbers they gave are the same ones they give ae after the election? But, sure, you can trust the media.

 Election interference is states keeping people on the ballot who have already said they are not running. It is the government telling states they have to keep illegals on the voter registry. It is one party saying they will not allow an election to be certified if their candidate doesn't win. These things are happening and are not being caused by foreign governments but by our own.

 someone who is not anti American, not anti religion, not anti white or anti male nor anti constitution. I guess the choice is clear.

 really disrespect the people who elected them? Certainly seems so. They seem to have money for every other country and anyone who is illegal coming into this country but not a cent for tax paying  Americans suffering through a natural disaster. And if half of the things I am hearing about hurricane response is true the government  should be embarrassed and disgusted. But you'd have to have a conscience for that.

 Why aren't we hearing information about the hurricane in the news?  I see a lot on socials and some from the Daily Mail. But in the states? almost crickets. Why is that.? The government seems to be ignoring it too. Is this just another way the current administrations shows its disdain for American citizens? Do they really hate Florida that much?

 It is a form of government where the citizens elect people to represent them. The people elected must follow the constitution of the country.  Simple. The rules are already there. How hard can it be? A democracy elects representatives and they can do whatever they want as long as a majority of them go along with it.

 someone who would like to see you rotting in prison? You are calm and respectful. You greet her kindly and thank her for participating. You answer questions with facts and calmness. You let her speak without interrupting in any way, not even gestures. You then thank the moderators for their efforts. And afterword's you say nice things while pointing out all the lies.

 is not very joyful. They  are constantly criticizing   their opponents. They do not talk about all the great things the joyful party is going to do. They have the elite of the partly lord their wealth and power of people and tell them how great they really have it. Not sure how that brings joy to the people who struggle to pay their bills

 begins by bending a knee to indigenous persons; I guess they don't know that the descendants of those indigenous people are concerned about the mess the government as made of the economy and the border.

 Isn't ones perception interesting? Like when one news agency says one persons plan will cost billions but one someone else says the same thing it is the greatest idea since sliced bread?

 a pro athlete, a celebrity, a wanna be celebrity, or someone who things they are worth listening to; for no other reason than you are you, stop talking about world events, politics or health care. You are not an expert in these fields. You are giving your opinion, generally based on nothing more than something 'they' said. Well, 'they are stupid and so are your followers.  These are people who blindly follow because they want to be 'in'. They don't want to think for themselves they want someone to tell them what to do. And that, is not good for anyone. So. Just. Stop.

 for someone because of their gender and skin tone? Two things they have no control over. That tell nothing about them. This is a wasted vote. A statement that you  do not care about the direction the country is going. I suppose it it s just easier to vote on things that don't mater than actually having to think and research. Just the way the  current government wants the people: stupid.

 you must be American. I don't mean born here. I mean know what it really means. This is a leaned experience and comes with age ae. You must, at least have a passing knowledge of the documents important to this country.. You must know the laws of the country and enforce them. You must expect people to follow them. And correct those that don't.  You must know that this country was created by working class people and you must respect that. You must know that public assistance was not meant as a career  and expect people to work for what they get. You should know that the rich can manage for themselves and celebrities are best ignored. You must not pander to the weak mined easily lead. Knowing the difference between male and female and being able to form and complete, exact and accurate sentence would also be a plus. I don't care who you are but if you do these things you will have the unity you say you want.

 I have heard it a lot lately. 'We are not the type of people who shot someone because we disagree with them'  Well, we are those people. At least a lot of us are. You often hear of people who shot someone because they cut them off on the free way, or parked in their driveway. Chopped down a tree in the neighbors yard because its' branches over hung our yard. Pushed a head in a line because we wanted to. Most of us are not like this. We are live and let live people. Obey the rules and respect others. Even those we don't agree with. But, there is a big enough faction that are selfish, vengeful people. People who just want what they want. People that can not articulate their beliefs but know that you don't agree with them so you are no good. I think this will only change for the worse. So many people who see how the negative half live and think it would just be easier to follow them.  It is a sad world we live in.

 With all the technology there is why can no one predict the weather accurately?

 and bible education in schools infringe on the separation of church and state? Schools are run, poorly, by the state so I would think having these things in schools would not be acceptable. Also, shouldn't things like religion,. morals, right from wrong, and just how to be a decent person be taught at home by parents and then just supported in schools? Teachers really have enough with teaching reading and writing and dealing with kids behaviors . They don't need to have to teach your  kid to be a moral, upright, contributing member of society too.

 made a drug that worked, you abused it and now the drug company is responsible for your bad behavior. And you wonder why medication costs so much.

 Are there really less cars? Are people really more pleasant?  Probably not. I just don't drive and stay away from people. I also don't listen to the news.

 Listening to the news yesterday I heard that someone, don't remember who it was, thought there should be warning on labels on all social media sites. It would say something like this site has not been proven safe. Why would this be necessary? Can parents not parent their  own children? Can they not monitor what their children do online? Teach them what is ok online and what is not.  It is time for personal responsibility and common sense. Some government idiot should not have to tell you how to manage yourself and your children on line.

 I can just look it up if I have to. Have we heard it? Have we said it? We do need to learn all that we can especially about history and politics before the powers that be clean it up to their liking and none of it is anything like it actually was. None of it will be true.

 unless you are illegally crossing the US border, an illegal committing crimes, any criminal in a pro crime city.

 The Eu has passed a new law protecting the environment and people. Similar laws have been discussed and not passed here. However, the EU laws will effect companies in this country who do business with European countries. Businesses in this country will not have a say in this law or even about being effected by it. I imagine this country, unlike China, will go along with this law and how it effects business in this country.  Will this then allow this country to pass similar giving this government more control? Laws that protect the environment more than the people?

Today is voting day and apparently only 18 % of the voters in this county has turned in ballots. I get it. There is nothing on the ballet that people care about and some, like me, think it is just a waste of money to even send it out. It could have waited til Nov.  Voting in Oregon is pretty easy. You just have to drop your ballot off in a drop box or even put it in the mail, not stamp required.

 On Next door there was a post about animal cruelty done by teenagers. it was horrible and caught on camera. One person was questioned and released without giving up the names of his fellow punks. Why these creatures were out in the middle of the night and how they got the weapon the used is beyond me. Obviously, no parenting was happening with them. And in pro crime Oregon even if they were caught nothing will happen to them. Sadder still is that I am not surprised by any of it.

 Because I am not affiliated with any political party my primary ballot is filled with measures and non partisan positions. This year there are 15 positions to vote for and all but 2 are running unopposed. Now I know these positions and measures are on this ballot for a reason but seriously could we not have waited to do this until the Nov election. Seems like such a waste of time and money to send these ballots out to non party affiliated voters. There are 5 different pieces of paper involved in this. The ballot is not a standard size so more money was spent on that. I also noticed that the ballots are sent non profit org us postage paid. Lets face it, the government is for profit.

 I have received mailings from political parties and companies representing political interests. And, most recently from AARP asking me to sign petitions. These businesses, because politics is a business, want opinions or petition's signed. They really want to know what you think. When you give your opinion you must also send in whatever amount of money they request. So, it seems, that your opinion is only as important as the amount of money you are willing to give.. Something is wrong with that.

 The rich people control everything and that is not a free market and whine and whine some more. Sounds like sour grapes to me. Work harder or smarter or whatever it takes if you want to be one of the rich or have more than you do. That is what a free market is. You get the chance to make it happen.

  noun lack of interest, enthusiasm, or concern: It seems this is what many people have become in todays world. We don't care about the country, history, the future, or people.  And judging by the way people drive and walk in front of cars, ourselves. We have decided that it isn't our problem or we can't fix it so why bother. Now is the time to change that before the powers that be take total control of your life, tell you what to do, and when to do it. Tell you what to think and what to eat. And care more about saving the planet for the bugs than about humans. It is a sad world we live in and while we complain about it we have made it that way.

 it is important and necessary to respect other people. Their ideas and beliefs. However, there is a section of the population who can not get behind this idea. They only think their ideas and beliefs are important and you have to respect them while they do not have to respect yours. I have to say, tho, that some peoples ideas and beliefs are getting harder and harder to respect.

 with my Lent sacrifice? Nope, broke it the first day. Decided I should once again try to stop with the snarky remarks and attitude. But day one 1 I went out among the people and. well, things happened. But I keep trying

 if the Supreme Court justices have actually read the constitution?

 who cares about people. Or has just passed a new plan to save salmon and forested areas while putting people at risk. Jobs will be lost funding for public services will be lost. The state has no problem ripping up any green they can find for more housing. No regard for animals or clean air or water in that.  Once you put more people out of work who is going to afford these ugly buildings that keep getting put up. I guess they will make them low income so the state can further control people who used to be hard working Americans. But no worries, we saved the salmon.

 The Oregon legislature have been busy bees. All the important things they are doing for the state. They have decided to do away with daylight savings, again. Of course, being the leaders that they are they are waiting for other states to do the same thing. They are also decided to recriminalize drugs. Not a smart move to have de criminalized them in the first place. What the law accomplishes is very little, While you can be arrested for smaller amounts of drugs it is easy for you to get out of serving any punishment because they also made a new class of law for this. And, apparently, this is raciest because it will effect persons of color more. I guess because of the color of ones skin they are not able to follow the law and are above the law. Oh what else. Oh housing. Millions on affordable housing.  That working class Americans have to pay for. Oh and money for low income people to get air conditioners. Seriously, I not only have to pay for someone else house but air condit...

The government. it is now a government who does not feel it has to follow the laws of the country, the constitution or the people who elected them. They think they should be followed blindly as they continue to destroy the country. And the next biggest threat to the country? The people who continue to vote for the same un american people. People who have no idea or don't care abut how and why this country has gotten to where it is. Who knew there were so many non americans in America.

 The government wants you to be green; no natural gas, electric cars, no farm animals.  Save the planet, for what? I don't know. But, then, they want to build thousands of new homes for low income people. Tearing up all the green space. Packing more people into smaller spaces. Humans leave the biggest carbon foot print but lets pack more of them in getting rid of plants and trees that purify the air.

 but it should be, Take , for example, the case of 2 public officials accused of the same crime. One is charged and is being tried for this crime the other is not. Why? One the government doesn't like and wants to get out of the way and the other is a an old man who is just forgetful and would be too sympathetic for a jury to convict.  Either you try them both of you don't. Laws should be equally administered. The law is the law and not just something to be used for personal gain.

 I have been hearing a radio commercial for a personal loan service, The people have maxed out cards and the rent is due. So with just a few clicks on your phone you can get up to $5000. Easy. Problem solved. This is concerning because I am sure people fall for this. Sure you can pay rent and some on your card but then you have to pay back the loan, at what interest rate?, still pay on the card and the rent will be due again. So you could end up paying more out than you did before.

 The way people dress to go out in public. People shopping in pjs and slippers, school employees with big holes in their sweats, retail clerks wearing sweats and holey jeans and shirts that show their stomach. And people who are a little on the big side in tight yoga pants and short tops. Glad you have the self confidence but ain't no one want to see that. And TV ads from 'charity' hospitals; I know the kids got free care and you made millions off the research you used on them but aren't they exploiting the children by using them in their begging commercials? And the aspca one, you took pictures of all those animals but then what did you do? I turn that on off. And law firms who will sue someone for whatever disease. Even if your loved one is no longer with us they will sue and you will get money even tho it was your loved one who suffered with the disease so why should you get money. Oh and you don't pay til they win the case.

 We have not been out of the house since Friday and I am ok with it. This is the 4th full day of below freezing with snow and ice on the ground. An ice storm possible today. Other places have it worse so I can't complain. And really I would be ok with one more day of not having to drive.

 On the radio I heard someone talking about how his son came to him and said he was a pirate so dad had his eye removed, his had replaced with a hook and his leg replaced with a peg. Satire. But not funny. Then someone called in to this radio program and said how a kid in his childs school identified as a cat and there was a liter box for him. I have heard this before but I don't believe it. Now when I was little and wanted to be a cat my mom said ok go be a cat and meowed with me. The same with my kids when they wanted to pretend they were a teacher or a lion we played pretend.  But now we have idiot parents who apparently never used their imaginations and are jumping on the bandwagon and encouraging their children to actually change to something they are not. What is wrong with people. And it is not the kids who think they are something else that should be blamed it is the idiot parents and morons in society who say 'well sure, that's cut some body parts off here and add ...

 This is from a commercial for a kid safe phone. It shows sad looking children complaining about social media taking over their lives . The parents, apparently, can do nothing but buy this phone to solve the problem. When my kids were little I watched every tv show they watched. I reminded them that they could turn it off if there was something on they didn't like. When the internet came along I saw everything they did. I turned off what wasn't ok to see and told them that they could do the same. And click out of something when I walked in unannounced? Nope. Show me what you were looking at/ No special phone. Just parenting. ,
