Things I find annoying

 The way people dress to go out in public. People shopping in pjs and slippers, school employees with big holes in their sweats, retail clerks wearing sweats and holey jeans and shirts that show their stomach. And people who are a little on the big side in tight yoga pants and short tops. Glad you have the self confidence but ain't no one want to see that.

And TV ads from 'charity' hospitals; I know the kids got free care and you made millions off the research you used on them but aren't they exploiting the children by using them in their begging commercials? And the aspca one, you took pictures of all those animals but then what did you do? I turn that on off.

And law firms who will sue someone for whatever disease. Even if your loved one is no longer with us they will sue and you will get money even tho it was your loved one who suffered with the disease so why should you get money. Oh and you don't pay til they win the case.

Lent challenge

 I am always joking about what I am giving up for Lent but never do. I mean what kind of sacrifice is it to give up coffee. But this year, on Ash Wed. in fact, I decided I would challenge myself to give up saying all the snarky things I say to and about other people. If I could do that it would be something. On Sunday the priest said Lent is not about giving up something but about getting back on track and getting to where you want to go. And so, this is the perfect challenge for me. FYI, I have failed multiple times already. 40 days is just way to long to be good.

In the news

 I heard a news story about a school that was not allowing students to participate in year end activities if all their fees had not been paid. This is not an unusual stance, I've heard it before. It is not right that the children are punished for something they have no control over and the fees still won't be paid/ But, what struck me the most is a parent who said 'this is just showing them that if they don't have money they don't get things'. Um duh. If you don't work and earn money and save for things you want you don't get them. And you shouldn't. What happened to the Americans who worked and expected nothing from anyone. Where did all those people go?
