What I think

 There is a proposed law in Oregon that would criminalize hunting and fishing. While neither of those things appeal to me and I find hunting are horrible thing I wondered what exactly this law would do.? I   know the reasons for hunting but I still don't like it. And in a state that seems to have no use for green space the animals will move ever closer to people because if they are not hunted there will be more of them. Nature can not take care of all the animals. Well, not only would hunting and fishing be illegal, so would pest control and animal slaughter and rodeos and using animals in wild life practices.  I doubt most people will read the fine print of this law or any law for that matter when they vote.   And what else would this do? Force people to buy meat products from other areas, not locally grown product. This would put ranchers out of business. They would have to sell and the sate could build on that land loosing more green space. This gives go...

 I am confused by the celebrations after the supreme court decided that the tariffs have to go. Every county has them and if this was the thing that would bring business and jobs back to this country why wouldn't you do it? I am pretty sure that according to the constitution the president can order tariffs in times of need. And they are needed. We must bring business back to this country. And not charging them will not bring prices down, cooperate greed still abounds.

 I generally do not actively take part in Lent. Never understood the point of giving something up. So I give up coffee does that some how make me a better person. I have, however, set Lent challenges for myself. I have been more mindful of the things I say about other people, particularly other drives. I did this several years ago and it was a success. I set the same goal last year, blew it on day one. I This year my challenge is to be more productive, to do things that will help me be a better person, to follow through on things I say. This is day 2 and so far so good.

 the same way if you don't like the way the government is going? I just read a survey that said most of those surveyed did not like the path the state was on but most said they would vote for the same governor. Why? I guess people are that stupid.

 So the state wants to share ownership of the Moda center with Portland. It brings in millions of dollars but needs some work. So the brain trusts that run this state have decided to tax the players, the performers and anyone else who uses the space a tax. They will also tax business in the area. I wonder how much money they will actually make when these taxes are passed on to the consumer. They want to do this to any team who wants to bring baseball to the area. So far, no takes on that. This seems similar to the jock tax in CA where super bowl players are going to pay more taxes than the actually earned playing in the Superbowl Why are people dumb?.

 what's in it for politicians who actively encourage people to become criminals? To cause hate and problems for so many people.  What can they possibly get out of all the mess they are making. We say a very small protest the other day. Maybe 20 people holding signs walking quietly down a sidewalk and I wondered if they would respect my opinion as much as I respected theirs.
