 or lack of it. Customer service is pretty much non existent as is common courtesy. Recent examples; the salvation army bell ringer and his pot blocking the entry at walmart, the ticked off safeway low level manger who had to work a register and refused to put in the rewards phone number when it was typed in wrong, fred meyers lame excuses for not having prices marked correctly on shelves. They have been using the 'we don't have staff' since the pandemic started, only to find out that they only allow their staff to work 20 hours a week even if they want to work more. 

There was no reason for any of this issues to take place. You don't have to be a brain surgeon to know not to stand in front of a door and then expect people to reward your bad behavior. If you have to do a job that you deem beneath you for 5 minutes, suck it up you're getting a check. Give your employees more hours, people should not have to work 2 jobs or one and still be eligible for food stamps.

There are other businesses and people should start going to them.
