Mind your own business

 It just boggles the mind how people react to celeb news and how celeb reacts to news. One says something another doesn't like it, reposts the incomplete statement and then everyone is up in arms. Usually the info is not reported completely and no one bothers to find out what the first person really said.

Why can't people just keep their mouths and computers shut. Someone says something you like. Ok, you don't like it, move on. People have way too much free time if they have the time to start trouble where there is no trouble.

And then the first person some how feels the need to apologize for what they said. Lesson; if you are going to have to apologize for it later don't say it in the first place. Say what you mean and mean what you say.

Lent challenge

 I am always joking about what I am giving up for Lent but never do. I mean what kind of sacrifice is it to give up coffee. But this year, on Ash Wed. in fact, I decided I would challenge myself to give up saying all the snarky things I say to and about other people. If I could do that it would be something. On Sunday the priest said Lent is not about giving up something but about getting back on track and getting to where you want to go. And so, this is the perfect challenge for me. FYI, I have failed multiple times already. 40 days is just way to long to be good.

In the news

 I heard a news story about a school that was not allowing students to participate in year end activities if all their fees had not been paid. This is not an unusual stance, I've heard it before. It is not right that the children are punished for something they have no control over and the fees still won't be paid/ But, what struck me the most is a parent who said 'this is just showing them that if they don't have money they don't get things'. Um duh. If you don't work and earn money and save for things you want you don't get them. And you shouldn't. What happened to the Americans who worked and expected nothing from anyone. Where did all those people go?
