Gas Prices

Last Monday morning I bought gas for $3.99. Thursday morning it was $4.29 and that was the cheapest increase I saw. On Friday evening the cheapest gas in our town was $4.29. Sunday am in was $5.29. Other stations were higher. The price is more than it was a couple months ago before the prices started to go down. I had just heard a report from, which ever useless government agency keeps track of this sort of thing, that gas prices had gone down a few cents each week for the past 14 weeks and that it would probably go up 5 cents and then level off, This is way more that that prediction. Now OR has always been higher than the national average, OR is just special like that.

Explain. The explanation is not 'it's Putins fault.

I'll wait.
